About Dr. Srinivasa Murthy G. A.
Dr. Srinivasa Murthy took his MBBS at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, and holds a Fellowship in Diabetes from the Royal Liverpool Academy. He consults in the morning session at Apex.
During the pandemic he volunteered with Project StepOne, a physician-led telemedicine effort, giving free consultations to more than 700 people over two years — helping callers separate ordinary illness from symptoms that needed a screening centre.
Alongside clinical practice he works in health informatics and clinical systems, and is a Certified Health Informatician Australasia. That background shapes how the clinic keeps records and how test results reach the doctor reading them.

What to bring to the consultation
Bring everything, even what looks old or irrelevant. Most of a consultation is comparison — this result against the last one — and an appointment without the old records is an appointment working from half the information.
Your medication — the strips, not a list
The actual boxes or strips of everything you take, including anything bought without a prescription and any ayurvedic or herbal preparations. Names and doses get copied down wrong more often than anyone expects.
Previous prescriptions
Whatever you have been taking and for how long is often the most useful thing in the room.
Test reports
Blood tests, scans, ECGs — whatever has already been done, however old, and the images or CD if they were given to you as well as the printed report.
Discharge summaries
From any hospital admission or procedure. Dates and details matter.
A referral letter, if you were given one
It tells the consultant what the referring doctor was thinking, which saves repeating work.
Spectacles, hearing aid, and someone with you if it helps
You are welcome to bring a family member into the consultation. Two people remember more of it than one.
Do not stop any medication before an appointment or a test unless a doctor has told you to. Where a tablet needs to be paused for a test, that instruction always comes from the doctor beforehand, never from something you read on a website.
